Borrguus Blisterbark - need pointers
I've never yet run into an enemy pack that can kill my crew in 2-3 seconds flat. Four burning spirits with one burning spirit boss would be such an enemy.
Any good ideas for how to beat this area in general, and specifically, Borrguus? That mother's got me dialed in and has punched my ticket more Times than I care to admit. I've gotten him down to just a sliver of health just as the entire H/H party wipes on several occasions and his rapid regen just mocks my death. I'd rather not build a suicide party that juts kills one minion at a Time. Need to kill this son of a rat decisively to really feel like it's a win.

1. Precast Prot Spirit (if you do not have a hero monk, you can't do that)
2. Spread them out with Flags. Rangers and Paragons can spread out and still attack one target e.g.
3. Zho or your own Hero with BHA is highly recommended
4. You can use the Siege Devourer from Dalada Uplands, it does not disapper when you ride through the zone gate
5. Take Herta or a Hero with Ward vs the Elements or Ward vs Harm with you
6. Rangers with Pets make it so much easier (I use 2 Ranger Heroes + MM and I am SS Necro myself), they are both bait and Rangers have 100+ armor vs elemental damage
7. Things can go wrong, expect losses
Spreading out manually or telling your party to spread out is most important imo.

You could always go north and grab the siege devourer, and then tank Borgus and pwn him. Or you can use a interrupt mesmer or a BHA + Epidemic.

He moves fast and so does his group, and the location is bad. because some of the area causes burning which helps him kill you. Killed him only twice and the rez shrine got a work out. Worst comes to worse pick off his crew one at a time. Then when he is alone kill him. Armor skills and spells that help against fire will help.

Group of eles with frigid armor? No more burning= quite a help. I dunno if he's a sf ele or what not, but atleast that'd get rid of the burning.

I took...
Myself as a Me/E with Echoed Pain Inverter, Backfire, and other anti-spamming spells, plus Frigid Armor. I used the Siege Devourer for fighting everything else so I could specialise in fighting them, dismounting from the siege devourer and leaving it in a safe place before engaging.
Prot Monk hero with Frigid Armor, Extinguish, and a normal prot monk bar.
Water Ele with Frigid Armor and Ward against Harm.
Mesmer hero with Power Block, other interrupts including Cry of Frustration, and Empathy (for getting there) - as well as Frigid Armor.
Devona, Herta, Mhenlo and Zho as henchmen, for tanking & knockdowns, Ward of Elements (and more non-fire nuking), healing, and Daze respectively (may even have had Epidemic on Gwen to spread the daze - I can't remember).
I did take some casualties with that group, but nothing that I couldn't handle or that would stop me from completing Fire and Pain and clearing the zone.
Good luck!

I'd say siege devourer. Siege works on everything.

Oh yeah, got owned by him and his crew first time, then learned the magic of flagging heroes so they are separated. Then, a nice dosage of daze and interrupts on his minions; Pain Inverter on him = dead boss in seconds. He's actually a joy to kill now

Siege devourer worked fine for me also, given however I blundered in mindlessly in a way that you would hear 'leeeeeeroooooy' echoing between the trees.
I did a runner for the Titan (in quest The Smell of Titan in the Morning) and started attacking him plus his two burny friends.. then another three burny friends wandered into the fight.. then Mr Borrguus and his three burny friends also turned up...
Wow it smelled like fried chicken in there. There were a couple henchmen downed, however we prevailed through a few timed siege attacks and the generous use of a couple Maelstrom elemental heroes :-D
Never underestimate the Maelstrom! Putting that skill on any style ele can shut down monks and damage ele's alike; even with 0 water magic it's the 10 second of interrupt pulses that kick ass!

Not the most practical idea perhaps, but all heroes could go /E for [wiki]Frigid Armor[/wiki] - that would make him pretty harmless.
Power Block would work on him, but only him, it wont work on his little "burny friends".
But as Arcane says, Pain Inverter is just plain awesome for overpowered bosses - takes a while to get though.

Defiant Was Xinrae + Spell Breaker and a bit of positioning will make most homogeneous spell spamming groups a thing of the past.

I H+H'd him with my splinter/barrage ranger, Gwen, Jora running axe, and Pyre running interrupt. Didn't have much of a problem...lost a few but he went down pretty quick.
Alot harder than the titan boss in there too during the quest...I was surprised that titan was so quick.

I met that group on way to the dungeon of katahrax. Do we have to fight him each time we want to do that dungeon ? Or did he spawn because of some active quest ?

Yes, he goes on a fairly wide patrol. If you keep your eyes open and you're ready to run, it's possible to take out pretty much anything else in his patrol route (except the Charr Effigy, if it's around - dealing with Blisterbark is probably the hardest part of Fire&Pain) without having to engage him.

My general group did mostly OK with him - didn't really expect that while exploring.
My character is a Dervish/necromancer. Mostly a standard Dervish tank build with Plague Touch - nothing fancy there. My hero setup at the time was Tahlkora as a standard Restore Condition Prot monk, Livia and a Minion Master, and Margrid the Sly as a B/P ranger. I took the fire, earth, healer, and fighter hench. So far that has been fairly balanced and taken me through most of the game, I'm on the last mission but am grinding faction before I bother with it. Generally I prefer a Searing Flame ele instead of the ranger, but since I do not know when the destroyers will make an appearance I take her (actually, I normally take the healer hench instead of Tahlkora and replace her with the SF ele - but EOTN is too condition/hex heavy and I feel I need to monk hero).
I could transfer the burning the whomever I was attacking and the others did OK. A few died but no party wipe. I didn't bother with flags as I had the boss at half health before they cast SF and at that point I didn't care.
For any game other than prophecies when I see a boss I make sure their group is the only one I fight (flag hench and use a longbow to pull) and I call them first. At that point Livia had a full minion army and I just let it go from there. I try and get the enemy to cluster up for Barrage and my scythe, mostly just make sure when you hit them with the longbow that they are clustered and they will normally stay there. IIRC they didn't clump up well when I faced them, though that mostly works.
It should be quite easy to make a party build to take him/her down - SF only works on burning targets and there are lots of party wide condition removal and even a nice juicy PvE only skill for it specifically.

A full party of people, each pick a target and cast Pain Inverter. They die so fast you wont need a second spell or attack. Your party might still get wiped, but they won't live to brag abou it
